Now you know why I love salmon– the fresh wild Alaskan (or Northwest) stuff is so good! Our standby salmon marinade is similar, but with rum instead of mirin. Bourbon is really good in it, too.

I tried Cedar Planked salmon for the first time this spring and LOVED it – not I just need to work up the nerve to try making it myself!
