Great idea for big gatherings and not enough stove area. I do believe some people did not have the two parent family or have been taught about cooking basics. It is sad but I do believe there are no wrong questions. I am kinda shocked to find some rude comments on this site though. Maybe these people need to look past their white picket fences and at the real World.

Sounds like the need instructions on how to slice lettuce.
My best corn on the cob takes 7 minutes in the microwave. I'm a genius.

I agree with the other lady - cook corn on the stove in 5 to 6 minutes. I don't understand why women are asking about how to make Iced tea and hard cooked eggs. Did none of these gals have mothers that cooked?

I don't understand why anyone would make corn in a slow cooker when you can make it on the stove in five minutes. Sounds like twice the work for the same result. I guess it would work for a cookout?
