					<description><![CDATA[I made it, and we love it! The recipe is a keeper for sure.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hope you won&#039;t cringe if I share how I changed it a little bit. *blush* :-)  Sometimes I find it helpful to read how others tweak recipes, so I hope it&#039;s okay if I share that here. First of all I was lazy and didn&#039;t peel the pears. lol  I used whole wheat flour, and I used walnuts instead of pecans since that is all I had.  And I added a little less sugar (about 1 3/4 cups) and made a glaze to put on top (my kids really, really wanted glaze on it ;)).  I didn&#039;t add eggs (since we don&#039;t eat eggs) and instead added a teaspoon of baking powder and then at the very end after everything was mixed together added about a tablespoon of vinegar (to give it a little extra rising power since I didn&#039;t use eggs).  Anyway, it really turned out wonderfully and is so yummy! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe!]]></description>
