Easy Place Cards

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure.

Yesterday, my family celebrated an early Thanksgiving. The kids and I had fun picking out new linens, dishes, and making easy place cards for our supper. I was surprised to see how much my daughter has matured over the last year as she was super eager to help in any way that she could. It was nice to have some help in the kitchen this year. I know as the two of us worked together side by side that we are making special memories.

Thanksgiving Table

I had a super brilliant idea this year and that was to make all of us place cards for supper. However, it had to be super easy and we wanted to keep everything about our Thanksgiving supper easy. The decorations would be simple, the craft had to be quick and easy, and our meal was of course was super easy.

Easy Place Cards

My family loved the meal so much that I had to share how easy and delicious everything was. But first let’s get back to this super easy craft….

When I picked up my ingredients for my Thanksgiving supper, I snagged a bouquet of fall flowers too. I used one mason jar per person and filled with water, trimmed up the flowers and placed them equally into the mason jars. {I used these cute mason jars just to make it a little more interesting.} To make them extra special, use chalkboard sticky paper and chalk to write each person’s name on at their spot at the table. It was so impressive and took about 5 minutes total! Now that is my type of crafting….simple and easy.

Easy Place Cards

This year, I’m thankful for my family and friends, getting my allergies under control, and all of the many other blessings God has bestowed on us this year.

What are you thankful for this year?

I’ve only been to a Fresh & Easy once (since I’m not a California native), but I loved it (and one recently opened up in my town, too)!

    I love your chalkboard placecards!

Your table was set in an unconventional way with the knive on the left and the fork on the right. Was everyone at the table left handed? For right handed people, which the majority are, they hold the fork in the left hand to hold down the meat and the knife in the right hand to cut the meat. That is the normal table setting.
