I live in the Phoenix metro area and love heading to Scottsdale for a fun day with family and friends. So, of course, I’m loving being able to work with Experience Scottsdale to bring y’all some of my favorite local spots. Even though I usually write about food, I jumped at the chance to spend the day at a local spa with my best friend Janice, from Celebrating Family, for her birthday a couple weeks ago. You can find tons of deals for any of the Scottsdale AZ spas all over the internet so you can certainly find the perfect spa package to fit your budget.

It’s always good to take a day for yourself to unwind and relax. Especially if you’re a mom and never take time for yourself…I know Janice and I are both totally guilty of that. Once the holidays were over, we knew we had to get the kids to school, find a sitter for the other kids, and take a whole day just to recharge our mommy batteries! What better way than a day spa with all the amenities! Of course, finding a spa with lunch was high on my list.

I found Spa Lamar in downtown Scottsdale, AZ to fit all my requirements for the perfect place to relax and recharge! They were awesome at helping me pick the perfect package of services for both of us. They were very accommodating and made the day special for us. Spa Lamar had everything we needed: facials, massages, mani/pedis, sauna, steam room, hot tub and more! Plus we were able to enjoy a quiet luncheon while we relaxed in our big fluffy robes.

Have you ever taken a day to recharge your batteries? It makes me a better wife, mom, and friend. It helps me clear my head too and forces me to unplug from the world! {That’s why there aren’t a whole lot of photos…I had to sneak my phone out to take a couple quick pictures. LOL}

This month we also had fun at Barrett Jackson auto show and the annual Food Truck festival in Scottsdale. There is no shortage of fun events to take advantage of..whether you live in the area or here for a vacation!
