I don’t normally post on Saturday’s, but I had to post this drink. It will be a perfect addition to your 4th of July party or picnic. It is so refreshing. Not too sweet, not too tart, and just a hint of watermelon.

I’m always in the kitchen! Always! That’s where the chocolate and Coke are hidden. I do come out occasionally to spend time with my 2 rambunctious kids and Hubbyman!
Most of the recipes on AMFT will be gluten free, dairy free, and egg free due to my allergies starting in Jan 2013; however, you will find archives of my traditional recipes too. [Wanna Know More …]

any idea why the need to make a 'simple syrup' first? more dishes and time….
Becka, it's to make sure the sugar gets dissolved.
yummmmmm
Sounds yummy!
At $1 per lemon at our grocery store I decided to go the less expensive route and use frozen lemonade when I made this for a party at my house. Still, it turned out really delicious! I love the color and the subtle taste of watermelon. It's definitely on my 'make again' list when I need a special summer drink.
That looks and sounds awesome! Gotta try it!
