Last weekend was my daughter’s 7th birthday party. She decided on all the party details and picked the pink and green birthday party and since it is really, really hot here in August my daughter requested a swimming party. I think it turned out really cute. My daughter even asked her Nana (my mom) to make her a swimsuit cover-up to match.

Check out the the recipes for these party foods:
Vanilla Bean Cake with Strawberry Cream Filling and Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Looks like a perfect little girl’s b-day party.

Cute! Great job on the cake. The whole table looks really cool–love the feathers!
When I was that age, my bedroom was done in pink and green!

Very cute! I love the cake!
Oh posts like these make me sad I have four boys…. Absolutely adorable! Maybe we could do a trade – you can throw a monster truck party for one of my boys and I can do her 8th girly party? Please????

LOL Michelle! I have a little boy too. I think his next party is going to be Monster Trucks actually!
VERY festive!! I had to laugh as we just had my son’s 7th birthday party this last weekend too & we used the same pitcher for ice tea that I spotted in your photo…too funny!! The cake was SPECTACULAR as well as the take-out containers for candy, very original!!
Thanks Kim! Gotta love Costco for the drink container!

That is TOO cute! I love that her outfit even matches.
What a great birthday party! Your little girl looks so cute in her matching cover-up and great job on the cake. We have a birthday party to do next month…you’ve inspired me!
I love this! Pink and green are two of my favorite colors, your daughter has wonderful taste:-)
Awesome! Is it easy working with fondant? I can’t wait to go to the Sugar Art Show at the Tulsa State Fair and see Kerry Vincent again. I’m hoping to catch some classes but I will have to be there early!
