I needed to use up lots of odds and ends in the pantry and freezer and this drink totally helped with that. The hazelnut flavor in the Nutella really provides a unique and different flavor to the basic chocolate coffee drink. This drink is so good…it’s probably more of a dessert than a breakfast coffee or snack, but I really don’t care.
I used my homemade chocolate syrup…it’s super easy, have you made your own yet? Not to worry…if you have the store bought stuff in the fridge it works just the same for this!
Nutella Blended Coffee Drink
1 cup milk (soy, rice, whole, etc)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp instant coffee
4 tsps Nutella (or try my gf, df homemade Nutella)
1 tbls sugar
1 cup ice
garnish: whipped cream, chocolate syrup, cocoa powder
Add all ingredients in the blender, except the garnishes. Blend until smooth. Finish by swirling a little chocolate syrup in your cup, pour in your drink, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

Looks great! Good way to use nutella…when I buy it for recipes, I always seem to have a little bit leftover in the bottom of the jar.
Wow — this looks great! I love nutella though I haven't had any for a while. This is a beautiful drink… YUM!
YUUUUUUUUMMM!
Who needs Starbucks and their $5 coffee drink?!?
Oh my gosh!! That sounds delicous!! I will be making that on a hot day very soon!! (except with decaf…regular makes my tummy hurt).
Who would have thunk the almond stuff would go great in coffee as well.

I’m now following you – I didn’t realize I wasn’t a follower. Please stop by when you have a chance.
My computer is a little wacky — I thought I posted my comment and it all disappeared. I was started to tell you I saw this at Miz Helens and I just had to stop by. I love coffee drinks, but only make them at home — the coffee shops drinks are way to high in calories. I’m making this right after my lunch today.
Thanks so much for sharing,
Joanne

Yum! Sounds great and I am not coffee drinker. This might make me change my mind.
Looks good. I’ll have to try this.
Yum!
Surprised Kathryn with one after seeing this post – turned out pretty good!
Glad y’all liked it Mike. I like to use old coffee instead of the instant coffee when I can.
I like it. I am sure it has a nice taste and it’s not hard to prepare it I think. Nice one

This looks sooo yummy! I’m going to have to try it out sometime soon!
A year ago, I’d have gone “nuts” over this and binged out every day on them. But in August ’11, my Mom and I drew a line in the sand, and decided to try to lose weight. She was diabetic and I was pre-diabetic, so it was a health issue for us. We found some low glycemic weight loss products to help us, and over the months, my Mom lost 38 lbs, and I lost 33 lbs. To say we are feeling better, is an understatement.
Last week we went to visit a friend, who owns an ice cream shop. To be polite, we both ordered cones. Later, I started feeling awful. I thought I was coming down with something and went to bed. An hour later, I woke up feeling even worse. But then I realized that I used to feel that way all the time. I hadn’t realized that the products, and the changes I’d made in the way I eat , had completely weaned me off of sugar without me even noticing. I never thought sugar was that bad, (not compared with diet drinks, which Mom used to be addicted to), but now I’m thinking it’s pretty bad, at least for me.
Also, I used to think Nutella was healthy, like eating peanut butter, and I still have a jar in my pantry and use it to make lunches for my kids, but then I saw this : https://nutellaclassactionsettlement.com/
Made this but blended chocolate with it for more flavor.
Very Good!
Ooohhhh, that looks delicious! I usually start my day with some toast, nutella, and coffee. Why did I never think to mix the nutella and coffee?

im makin it 2nite 4 bout 10 ppl…. YUUUUMMYY!!!
thank u so much….
So this is a really dumb question but the “instant coffee” you use is what exactly?? I have a keurig so I have K cups and also coffee beans….. Thanks!
Not a dumb question.
Instant coffee is a product that you just add hot water to and the crystals dissolve creating coffee. It’s totally different than the K cups or regular coffee beans (which I have and use for my coffee as well). I use instant coffee in this and other frozen coffee drinks and in my baking. Hope that helps.
Just made it..Loved it
YEAH! Thanks for letting me know Eljean. So happy to hear that you loved it!
I am craving nutella now. That looks so delicious.
I absolutely love Nutella so I know I am going to become an instant junkie to this drink. That’s okay though, it looks like a million dollars! Thanks for sharing.
I love nutella and this drink will make it even more better.
