Low Carb Keto Snack Mix
I’ve been on a low carb diet for about 4 months, so I’m by no means an expert. What I do know is that there are a lack of delicious, low carb snack mixes on the market and my Low Carb Keto Snack Mix is delicious and perfect for summer travel and camping.
Ingredients needed to make this recipe:
- pork rinds
- raw pecans (any nuts will work, but pecans have the lowest carbs)
- Cheese Crisps (any brand)
- mini pepperonis (or diced pepperoni or jerky)
- Truly Grass Fed® Ghee or Butter ( I like the nuttiness of the ghee)
- Worcestershire sauce
- seasoned salt
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- large bowl
- wooden spoon
- large rimmed baking sheet
- parchment paper
How to Make This Snack Mix
It’s so simple and can easily be doubled or tripled. Mix up the snacks. Then mix up the seasoning liquid. Stir to coat all the snacks and then bake for an hour. Told ya it was easy.
But the most important thing is to work fast once you pour the liquid on the mix of snacks so they don’t get soggy.
WHAT IS GHEE?
Ghee is a type clarified butter. It’s butter that has been simmered to filter out the milk solids and water. It’s delicious and it’s great for those who are lactose intolerant because the milk solids have been removed. Even some with dairy allergies can tolerate ghee. It’s great for special diets like Whole30, Paleo, and Keto. The best part is that it’s delicious.

- 6 cups pork rinds, slightly chopped
- 1 cup raw pecans
- 1 1.85 oz package cup Cheese Crisps (or 1 cup)
- 1 5 oz package mini pepperonis (or 1 cup diced pepperoni or jerky)
- 6 tablespoons Truly Grass Fed® Ghee or Butter
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Preheat the oven to 250º F.
Combine the pork rinds, pecans, cheese crisps, and pepperoni in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, combine the melted ghee or butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk to combine.
Pour the butter mixture over the pork rind mixture and gently stir to coat each piece.
Spread the keto mix evenly on a rimmed sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake at 250º F for 1 hour, stirring 3-4 times.
Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.
