Quick & Easy Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Quick & Easy Spaghetti with Meat Sauce #15MinuteSuppers

I love homemade pasta with a sauce that’s simmered all day long. It’s just so darn good, but some nights {alright…most nights} I need a quick supper on my table. And I have yet to find a good, store bought jarred sauce. I tried all of them many years ago, but found that I could make a quick & easy batch of spaghetti with meat sauce from scratch in just about the same it takes me to heat up a jar of sauce. Besides, I would always “doctor” those sauces up to make them taste better.

I finally had an AH-HA moment and realized if I skipped the pricey, jarred stuff {that usually has a bunch of ingredients that I can’t pronounce in it} I could just start with plain tomato sauce and do whatever I want to it. I keep it super simple most of the time as just a nice marinara, but last week I added some lean Italian seasoned ground turkey from Jennie-O that I had in my freezer. {My Disclaimer: I really love this product and buy it on my own….this is not a sponsored post.}

Seasoned turkey adds tons of flavor to this spaghetti with meat sauce, but you could easily use ground turkey or ground beef or even ground pork. Pick your preference and enjoy your supper. It will take only about 15 minutes as long as you get that water boiling first thing.

    Yum! How delicious is that?! I love that we were kind of on the same page this week….and isn’t it cool how versatile something as simple as spaghetti can be?

    […] I usually make a double batch of the taco meat recipe, or even more.  Why not?!?!? It’s so easy and then you can freeze the leftovers in zip top baggies in the amounts that your family will use it for easy meals in the future.  You could also just cook the meat (without seasoning) in the slow cooker, strain, and freeze for plain cooked beef to use in other recipes, like spaghetti with meat sauce.
