Slow cooker baked potatoes are the absolutely easiest way to make fluffy baked potatoes without heating up the kitchen! Microwaved potatoes are dry and tasteless, but this easy method for making slow cooker baked potatoes will give you perfect baked potatoes every time. One of the easiest slow cooker recipes around! This is probably a no brainer, but my method for making corn in the slow cooker seemed like a no brainer too, and yet, I got a huge response from it.
Sometimes, I don’t want to heat up my kitchen so I use my slow cooker for everything…even “baking” potatoes. It is so easy and they taste like they were baked (instead of microwaved…which I know nothing about, um…I don’t, really?!?!)
After you make baked potatoes in a crock pot, you can eat them as is for a simple side dish, or use them to create other recipes. I made a baked potato bar for supper. I set out all sorts of toppings and everyone made their own. Super easy supper! For lunch the next day, my daughter and I used the slow cooker baked potatoes to make Homemade Mashed Potatoes.
How to Make Easy Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes
You will need:
Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
Clean potatoes really well, rub with olive oil and then coat with kosher salt. Place in slow cooker.
Cook on high for about 4-6 hours. Rotate them occasionally so that each side has a chance to touch the cooker (helps with even cooking).
