Romantic Valentine's Day Menu

Valentine’s Day at Home Menu

I must admit, I don’t go crazy on Valentine’s Day but I do try to make a special dinner for Hubbyman to just show my love and appreciation of him. I make a simple and quick supper for the kids, but them to bed a little early and then we have a romantic dinner for two. It’s what we can do at this stage in our lives.

Whether you have to stay up last after the kids are in bed or celebrate full force, you’ll love the recipes I’ve pulled together in this ultimate Romantic Valentine’s Day Menu for you.

Valentine Dinner for the Family

Of course, these recipes don’t just make a great romantic dinner, they can be made in the perfect valentine dinner for the entire family. After all, Valentine’s Day is about celebrating the people you love and I love my kids! And some years, we do put the kids to bed early and enjoy some alone time, but now as the kids are older we try to celebrate together with a special dinner at home.

I made your Easy Chocolate Fudge without evaporated milk or sweetened condensed milk. It didn’t set up even though my candy thermometer was at 237 degrees F. I tossed it into the refrigerator after it had cooled; my husband found it, and said, “What great chocolate sauce for vanilla ice cream!” And it was. But I wanted fudge. I re-boiled the fudge and didn’t use the thermometer, but I did the soft ball in cold water test and followed the instructions to the letter. Stirred it and stirred it and stirred it some more just until it lost its sheen, and poured it into my prepared pan. Voila! Real chocolate fudge! Delicious! Thank you for the recipe. It now resides in my favorite recipe notebook.
