The Best Fall Baking Supplies
Every fall, I do a massive shopping trip to stock up on all the best fall baking supplies I’ll need to get me through the entire season. I used to add them in with my regular shopping trip, but this is so much easier to do. I just order them all online and have them delivered.
I love giving food gifts for the holidays and having a well stocked fall pantry is the best way to be able to whip something up at a moments notice.
A must on my list of the best fall baking supplies is a jar of pumpkin pie spice. I’ve found making my own pumpkin pie spice to have the most flavor than store bought and I make it in huge batches every year. When I have time, I always make my own spice blends. I can control the quality of the ingredients and I know exactly what’s in it too….no hidden ingredients.
Do you love changing out your decor for each season or holiday? I don’t do a ton in the house; but I love changing a few things in my kitchen, on my fireplace, and on my porch. I added some buffalo check and foam pumpkins to my patio to change it up just a bit for fall…even though it’s still almost 100F outside.

The Best Fall Baking Supplies
Stock your pantry with the best Fall Baking Supplies. These are my go-to items that I stock up on every year.
Pure Vanilla Extract
This is hands down the BEST vanilla. As tempting as the price is..skip the imitation vanilla and only use real vanilla.
Molasses All Natural, Unsulphured
Molasses is something that I try to keep on hand at all times. You can use it to make brown sugar in a pinch. But it also gives the depth of flavor you need in ginger cookies, ribs, pie and breads.
Dark Brown Sugar
Dark & Light brown sugar is a must Dark has more flavor, but either will work in your recipes.
Instant Powdered Vanilla Chai mix
Okay...this doesn't get used in recipes, but it's nice to curl up on the couch by the fire with a mug of chai and read a book.
Cinnamon is a MUST add ingredient to your fall kitchen. Buy a big container because you'll use it all fall and winter long. Plus in the spring, you can sprinkle it in your door frames to keep the ants away.
Almost every recipes that calls for cinnamon, I add a pinch of nutmeg. It's also a fun addition (just a tiny pinch) to homemade alfredo sauce.
Whole cloves and ground cloves are great to have. I add whole cloves to my holiday hams and stovetop potpourri. Ground clove are a great addition to cookies and cakes.
100% Pumpkin, canned
You can never have too much canned pumpkin. You can make your own canned pumpkin if you have time. Here's a bunch of recipes that I love using my pumpkin in: Easy Pumpkin Recipes
Pumpkin Pie Mix
Pumpkin Pie Mix is also great to have on hand for quick desserts during the busy fall season.
Pumpkin Pie Spice
As I mentioned above, I love to make my own Pumpkin Pie Spice. However, when I don't have time I pick up a jar.
Cream Of Tartar
Keep this on hand for cookies (as a leavening agent) and frostings (makes them creamier).
This one's a no brainer. You're gonna need lots and lots of sugar!
All-Purpose Flour, 5 lb
Same with flour. Buy a good brand and you'll get better results.
All Vegetable Shortening
I keep a little jar on hand to thin melted chocolate. It makes the chocolate a little thinner and shinny.
Baking Sticks, All Vegetable Shortening
And I keep the sticks on hand for making frosting because I hate measuring out of the container.
Slow Cooker, 4 Quart, Copper
Using a fall colored slow cooker really makes me happy this time of year. It really keeps the theme going when I'm cooking.
