This is just a good ol’ basic deviled egg recipe. It’s actually the same recipe that my mom makes, but my friend brought these over. Once I read the recipe, I realized why I loved the eggs so much….same recipe. It’s not a fancy recipe, but just a good classic deviled egg dish.
Deviled Eggs
1 dozen eggs
2 tbls deli mustard
3 tbls mayo
Paprika for garnish
Hard boil eggs and peel (see below for how to hard boil an egg). Slice in half lengthwise and scoop out yolks into bowl, keeping whites for later. Mash yolks with fork, stir in mustard and mayo. Pipe or scoop into saved egg white cups. Sprinkle with paprika.
How to hard boil an egg
Fill a large stock pot with water. Place eggs in water in a single layer and not touching. Make sure water level is about one inch above eggs. Turn on high heat and bring to a rolling boil. Place lid on pot, turn off heat, and let sit for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes run eggs under cold water and when cool, peel them!

This is EXACTLY what my husband and I have been looking for. We make these elaborate recipes from time to time, and when he decided to have hard boiled eggs for breakfast…neither of us knew how to cook them…and so to Google we went. Do you know we found fifty-umpteen recipes for boiled eggs, but they all got fancy and didn’t just tell us how to boil them! And then I happened across this in my e-mail subscription, and hurrah! Just what the doctor ordered.
Grazie.
Grazie, I’m so glad it was helpful….I almost didn’t put that part in.
