Love getting a hot warm sweet potato at your favorite steakhouse? My Restaurant Style: Baked Sweet Potato Recipe with cinnamon brown sugar butter will totally satisfy that craving. I promise!

Just like your favorite steak house! Restuarant Style Sweet Baked Potatoes

There really isn’t too much to baking a sweet potato, but there are a few tips to creating the perfect baked sweet potato. I love cooking up a dozen and then using them in recipes all week long. The sweetness makes them perfect for breakfast and dessert recipes. But my favorite are savory chips, fries, or mashed as a side dish.

My go-to side dish with a big juicy steak is usually a baked sweet potato. The savory steak paired with the sweetness from the potato and of course the cinnamon butter makes the perfect supper in my book! Luckily for me, my kids aren’t fans of sweet potatoes so I don’t have to share.

Sweet Potato Nutrition

Did you know that a small sweet potato has only 60 calories? That makes them super healthy and of course they are pretty inexpensive so they are very budget {and waistline} friendly. Sweet Potatoes are high in vitamin B6, a good source of vitamins C & D, they are a decent source of Iron, Magnesium, and Potassium, and they are high in carotenoids (ie beta carotene).

The benefits of sweet potatoes range from boosting energy, controlling stress levels, reduces risk of certain cancers, offers protection against asthma, heart disease, and can help delay the aging process! Seriously..delays the aging process….where do I sign up!?!?! Sweet potatoes are also an immunity booster so eat up this winter. Not only will you be keeping the colds away, but you will look younger in the spring. {Haha}

    I think the brown sugar amount is meant to be teaspoons not tablespoon. 4 tablespoons is way too much

      Hi Dawn, I don’t the color really matters. The color can vary based on the brand of butter and cinnamon used. w-

    Did you use whipped butter? Or rather, did you whip it yourself? I’m having a hard time getting that consistency (in the photo!)

      I don’t whip my butter. In fact, this is a dairy free butter and in the picture….it’s just melted a little into the potato. Nothing fancy..the cinnamon butter has just melted a little. 🙂 w-
